A cyborg is a creature created from the melding of being and machine. Possibly the most famous cyborgs in science fiction are the daleks from Doctor Who - there is a creature living inside that adamantine shell, something often forgotten. The cybermen from Doctor Who are also cyborgs and are more traditionally obviously cyborgs, that is they look human (to varying degrees).
Although the most human looking of the lot, the terminator robots from the eponymous series of movies, are full-up robots, or possibly androids - their motivation is completely electronically generated.
