Featuring the Mandragora Helix, seen on screen in the Fourth Doctor adventure 'The Masque of Madragora' way back in 1974, this adventure sees the Doctor and Donna return to London where Donna is visiting her mother and grandfather on the anniversary of her father's death.

Gramps has discovered a new star and is going to be honoured by the British Astronomical Society as they name it for him. However, there are loads more new stars appearing in the night sky making up a new pattern in the night skies.

All over the world, people find themselves affected by the appearance of these stars as an ancient power awakens deeply hidden genes. One that the Doctor had hoped destroyed. Will even the Doctor be able to overcome this new incarnation of the ancient evil?
