Men in Black

The name often given to those members of a deeply secret organisation generally assumed to either be hiding alien or high technologies from the general public, or as enforcers for the true rulers of the planet. In either case, the name comes from their habit of wearing dark clothing and the fact that their organisation is the prime example of ultra black projects.

The two best known such organisations in fiction are probably Torchwood from the BBC, a spin-off from the Doctor Who series, and the Men in Black films starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, themselves based on a comic book series.
