George Orwell

(Born 1903, died 1950)

George Orwell is the pen name of Eric Arthur Blair. Orwell generally wrote about social injustice in one form or other.

He was originally a communist but the Soviet Nazi Pact at the start of World War 2 caused him to lose faith in the Soviet system and Animal Farm was written as a satire on the Soviet Nazi Pact.
