Alfred Bester

(Born 1913, died 1987)

Alfred Bester started publishing Science Fiction in 1939 with short stories but it was not until the 50s when he started publishing in book form with such influential books as The Demolished Man and The Stars My Destination. He remained influential throughout the New Wave of the sixties and the Cyberpunk revolution of the eighties. Otherwise he earned his living as a script writer and journalist.

He studies both the Humanities and the Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania.
